What install-ready means

Every sign ships install-ready: raceway or backer built, wiring run, mounting drawings and an install guide in the crate. Your crew hangs it and connects power.

Install-ready does not mean we install. Your crew hangs the sign and connects power on site.

Install-ready means the sign leaves Thuận Sơn with the raceway or backer panel already built, painted and wired, and with mounting-point drawings, a wiring diagram and an install guide in the crate. Engineering for each order covers structure, mounting points, load, wiring and power. The sign shop’s crew hangs the assembly and connects power; Thuận Sơn does not install.

Face-lit channel letters mounted on a slim painted raceway, bolted to a block wall. The raceway carries the LED modules and power supply, so the wall gets a handful of anchor points instead of one penetration per letter. Fabricated by Thuận Sơn, installed by the local sign company.

Three mounting options

Three ways a set ships. For each one: what we build, what is in the crate, and what is left for your crew.

Over 16 sq ft outdoors we default to a raceway; a complex logo under 16 sq ft usually goes on a backer. That is our default. Your landlord’s sign criteria win — send them with the brief.

On a raceway. Installed by the local sign company.
Halo-lit letters on a cream contoured backer panel mounted on a light stone wall, daytime
On a backer panel. The backer gives the halo an even surface to wash and keeps the wiring behind one panel instead of across uneven stone. Installed by the local sign company.
White face-lit channel letters flush mounted on dark corrugated metal cladding at night
Flush, each letter wired through the wall as its own unit. It needs access behind the wall for the power supplies. Installed by the local sign company.
Dimensional letters on a dark custom-shaped backer panel mounted over corrugated metal siding, blue sky
Non-illuminated dimensional letters on a custom-cut backer panel over corrugated siding. The panel bridges the ribs so every letter sits on one flat plane. Installed by the local sign company.
Black flat-cut script letters flush mounted on a white painted brick wall, daytime
Flat-cut dimensional letters flush mounted on painted brick with stud mounts. No raceway, no backer. Installed by the local sign company.

Your landlord decides more than we do

In practice the mounting is decided in this order: the landlord’s sign criteria, access behind the wall, projection limits in the local code, the wall material, where the power supply can sit, and then looks.

Send what you know; we draw the default and you change it at approval. Send a photo of the wall; our engineering team proposes the mounting method and the pattern.

What you approve before the mockup

Engineering for every order: structure, mounting points, load, wiring and power, so the sign arrives install-ready. The drawing set you approve contains:

  • Elevation
  • Section
  • Mounting points and anchor spacing
  • Wiring and power entry
  • Install guide

Permits and any engineer’s stamp your city requires are on your side; if the permit office needs specific details in our drawings, tell us before production.

UL and the raceway

LED modules and power supplies are UL Recognized / UL-listed components. If your client’s city or landlord requires a UL label on the complete sign, tell us before production.

If the complete sign, letters and raceway together, needs a UL label for your permit, tell us before production.

In the crate

Mounting drawings and an install guide ship in every crate. The raceway or backer travels in the same crate as the letters, wired, so what arrives is the assembly you approved on the drawing.

Questions sign shops ask

Who builds the raceway?

We do, here, cut to the letter run, painted to your spec, letters mounted and wired to the power supply inside. It ships as one assembly.

My landlord requires a raceway. What do you need?

The landlord’s sign criteria and the elevation. We draw the raceway to it and you approve before the mockup.

Do you install?

No. We build the sign install-ready; your crew or a local sign company installs it.

A Drive, Dropbox or WeTransfer link to artwork, floor plans or a sign schedule. Artwork: vector or JPEG — send what you have, we redraw it at no charge. No link? Email the files to [email protected].
Rough is fine. If the sizes are in your drawings or sign schedule, say so here.
For wall signs, a photo link of the wall and where power is helps; our engineering team proposes raceway, backer or flush mount. Desktop signs and sign sets: a short note is enough.
